Women LEAD Nepal is looking for creative, organized, and detailed-oriented individuals who have a strong interest in women’s rights to work in the Programs Team as the Programs Coordinators (02 positions). They will primarily lead the Programs Team in the two major themes; Youth & Adolescent Leadership and Political Leadership. These positions will allow individuals to be creative, innovative and develop an in-depth understanding of young women & adolescent girls in the leadership arena.

DUTIES OF THE PROGRAM COORDINATOR(S):
- Lead the flagship program themes of youth leadership and political leadership.
- Plan and design program sessions, program interventions and projects related to long-term and short-term leadership courses for female youth and adolescent girls.
- Facilitate & guide the program participants to conduct subsidiary programs, join internships, mentor the next generation of program participants, run program sessions and more.
- Research theories, learning and issues to design and update course content, discussion topics, sessions and case studies.
- Lead & facilitate workshops, meetings, discussion forums and organize field trips.
- Conduct sessions, plan & manage workshops and mentor the participants.
- Facilitate in advocacy efforts of the program participants and the organization itself.
- Manage & guide interns, trainees, resource persons, facilitators and consultants.
- Strengthen relationships with partner schools, campuses and organizations, government offices, regulatory bodies, and represent Women LEAD Nepal at networking events.
- Track and document program activities for SWC and donor reporting and compliances.
- Maintain participant databases for all major programs.
- Assist with impact evaluation processes, including conducting focus groups, key informant interviews and control groups as-needed.
- Assist with the administration of program surveys, manage the filing and data entry and conduct data analysis and generate reports.
- Facilitate & support on programmatic communications (i.e. writing parent’s newsletters and sending out SMS reminders) and more.
- Coordinate the procurement and production of all program materials.
- Assist with day-to-day logistics required for smooth and timely program implementation.
- Translate documents and program materials into Nepali
- Assist with event management.
- Support program team with other duties as assigned by the senior management.

You will be the central contact for the program management side of the office and there will be great calls on your time from members of staff. The role will require you to be accomplished at multitasking.

- Content knowledge: you will have a sound knowledge of leadership and feminist concepts and issues, good understanding of the socio-economic situation of Nepal and cultural practices and bottlenecks is the must while understanding of Nepal’s political landscape will be an added strength.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in Social Science, Business/Public Administration, Development Studies or related field.
- Minimum of 03 years of professional experience in program design and delivery.
- Professional experience in facilitation, teaching or training, preferably with a focus on leadership, youth empowerment, political awareness or women’s rights.
- A detailed understanding of the needs of young women and adolescent girls in Nepal.
- Passion for empowering young women/girls and advocating for social change.
- Sound understanding of government processes, policies and legislative framework.
- Familiarity with advocacy projects and social activism is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of facilitators, mentors and community leaders.
- Ability to generate creative ideas and solutions to engage the beneficiaries and develop meaningful & result-oriented programs.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the aptitude to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of the cultural context and challenges young women face, particularly in Nepal.
