OWN IT Nepal is an annual one-day leadership summit for young women. OWN IT Nepal seeks to bridge the gap between female leaders and young women who aspire to be like them by producing accessible events for young women from all demographics- not just those who can afford to pay their way.

The first OWN IT Summit was organized at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. OWN IT Nepal is independently organized by Women LEAD Nepal.

The program features main stage panels that discuss major cultural, environmental, entrepreneurial, artistic, legal and social issues with prominent female figurehead in the field. The event also breaks down into various breakout sessions that participate opt-in depending on their interest. The fourth iteration of OWN IT Nepal will be organized through a virtual platform on 26th and 27th of March. After submitting the application form, if you are selected, you will be sent a confirmation email.
Footnote: E-certificate will be provided for participation in two days event.

Breakout Sessions

Panel Discussions are topic-based discussions where speakers will discuss their experiences within the subject area as a woman and leader. Speakers will draw heavily from personal experiences and real-world examples.

Workshops are hands-on sessions with the goal of teaching a singular skill or skill set and how it relates to success or leadership. These sessions will be more interactive, rather than lecture-style.

Office hours are casual conversations with a small group about the speaker’s personal and professional experiences. These sessions will be largely question-and-answer in format. Participants should possess an interest in perhaps one day pursuing a career in the speaker’s field!

Speed Mentoring are short one-on-one conversation with a mentor who will provide guidance and clarity on personal or professional questions.

Women, men, and gender non-conforming individuals between the ages of 18 and 26 who are eager and excited to champion women’s leadership.
