Yesterday, we ran a relief drive providing ration and dignity kits to COVID affected women and families of Ward 5, Lalitpur, Bagmati Province; in partnership with Feed the Hungry Nepal, a community-based organization co-founded by our 2018 LEADer Nikki Gautam. Through the drive, we equipped 100 low-income families (as stated by the ward office) with safety kits for the pandemic, dignity kits with sanitary pads and underwear, and ration kits with rice, beans, and pulses among other household necessities. We believe it essential for vulnerable families, with women, to be properly equipped to handle the on-going pandemic.
