2020 and 2021 YWPLI fellows visited Suryodaya Municipality, Ilam and Damak Municipality, Morang as part of their field trip. The fellows met with important government personalities like Ran Bahadur Rai, Mayor; Durga Devi Bhattarai, Deputy Mayor; Pema Ugen Lama, Ward Chair and Kalika Rai, Ward Member of Surodaya Municipality. At Damak, they met with Romnath Oli, Mayor and female politicians. The group spoke about and explored youth role in local politics while inquiring about the meaningful participation of women politicians.
