Everyone has leadership capabilities, whether it be about leading a country, a company or even oneself. We all are leaders in our own unique ways. But to be a powerful and efficient leader, there are some traits that leaders need to keep in mind.<\/span><\/p>

Here is a list of five powerful traits for our young aspiring leaders.<\/span><\/p>

  1. Persistence<\/strong><\/span><\/li><\/ol>

    Persistence is stubbornness with a purpose\u2014an important element for success. A good leader should be persistent, determined, and focused when it comes to achieving their goals. They should be able to back up their ideals with zeal and enthusiasm. Even when others are tempted to throw in the towel, a true leader\u00a0should persevere.<\/span><\/p>

    1. Self-Managed <\/strong><\/span><\/li><\/ol>

      Controlling oneself is a difficult challenge but once you master the art of self-control, managing others effectively and properly will be easier. Self-management constitutes of setting proper goals, being persistent, and being responsible. As a powerful leader, you should be able to draw a fine line between your professional and personal life. You should be able to balance your work, while remaining aware of your time, energy and emotions.<\/span><\/p>

      1. Optimistic <\/strong><\/span><\/li><\/ol>

        An optimistic mind counters negative thinking and fuels the drive to succeed. Leadership demands optimism and an effective leader needs to stay optimistic even during difficult situation and calmly find a solution for it. You should be enthusiastic and optimistic even during times of strife because doing so will ensure that people flock to you as their leader.<\/span><\/p>

        1. Open-Minded <\/strong><\/span><\/li><\/ol>

          A forward mindset and an open-minded approach lies at the heart of a good leader. A good leader is open to new ideas and perspectives while respecting the opinions of others. As an aspiring leader, you should be able to adjust yourself to difficult situations, be flexible, and willing to try new ideas.<\/span><\/p>

          1. A Good Communicator <\/strong><\/span><\/li><\/ol>

            Lastly, here is a boiled down version of being a GREAT LEADER: you need to be able to communicate effectively. A good leader knows when to talk and when to listen. Depending on the situation, they need to be flexible enough to be assertive as well as stern. Thus, to be a good leader, you should be able to communicate well in both professional and personal settings.<\/span><\/p>
