<\/div>Hima is the Executive Director of Women LEAD Nepal, a feminist organization based in Nepal. She identifies as a fierce feminist fueled by an unbridled passion to build an inclusive society bereft of all forms of gender-based violence. She actively advocates for gender rights through Dignified Menstruation, and Rage Against Rape. Hima has 21 years of experience working in the development sector, she has been the Managing Director at Possible | Nyaya Health Nepal, designing strategies and overseeing implementation to improve healthcare for underserved communities. She was also the Head of Human Resources at DFID Nepal (UKAID) for 6 years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Hima received her MBA from Kathmandu University, School of Management, and her MPhil in English from the Institute of Advanced Communication, Education and Research (IACER) in Nepal.\u00a0She is also the Co-Founder of Achaar Ghar: House of Pickles, Kitchen Recipe and is the Executive Board Member at the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal (FWEAN). <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>×<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div> <\/div>\n\n \n Manil joined Women LEAD with more than seventeen years of experience in the development sector. He worked in multiple South & Central Asian countries on broader issues of livelihood, economic development and management of small organizations. His past experiences include institutional development and organizational strengthening of member-based organizations and small enterprises\/institutions; creation of effective market linkages; technical and vocational education and training; women economic empowerment and so forth. He has a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Economics and Mathematics and a Master\u2019s degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance. Between 2003 to 2008, he also served as a visiting faculty\/guest lecturer for undergraduate courses in different campuses. In his spare time, he occasionally writes about the Nepalese equity market in the national dailies and weeklies. Manil believes that the creation of a just and diverse society will only be possible when we have equity for all and he is looking forward to contributing to making this possible through Women LEAD.<\/p>\n<\/div>×<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div> <\/div>\n\n \n Anjali Sah<\/strong> (she\/her) (2019 LEADer) is an aspiring lawyer and a proud intersectional Madheshi feminist shaped by law, literature, and lived experience. She has served as Vice Secretary (2021-23) and Secretary (2023-25) at Women LEAD Nepal, and was a Sujata Baskota Changemaker Awardee in 2020 for completing the DidiBahini project. Through her legal awareness co-initiative, Knock Off The Evil, she uses online advocacy to make the law accessible. She has represented Women LEAD in national and international platforms, including the 15th AWID International Forum. She strives for both legal and socio-cultural equality for all, including children, women, and marginalized communities. She envisions WLEAD as a space where every young woman is seen, heard, and empowered to lead.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>×<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div> <\/div>\n\n \n Swastika Pradhan<\/strong> is a lawyer currently working as a Legal Advisor at GIZ Nepal. She holds a double degree in Business Management and Law from Kathmandu University. Swastika joined Women LEAD in 2020 as a YWPLC Fellow and has remained actively engaged with the organization in multiple capacities. From 2023 to 2025, she served as a Board Member, and she now begins her second tenure with the organization as its Vice President. She identifies as a feminist and works at the intersection of climate mitigation, policy, and gender. She firmly believes in Women LEAD\u2019s vision of a better world where women leaders co-create the future.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>×<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div> <\/div>\n\n \n Timila Maharjan is an undergraduate of Social Work and Journalism with experience at the intersection of gender equality, media, and human rights sectors in Nepal. She currently serves as the Board Secretary of Women LEAD Nepal, having first been elected to the Board in 2023 and re-elected to the Secretary position.<\/span><\/p>\n Her journey with WLEAD began in 2018 as a LEADer and has since evolved through multiple roles, including Program Intern, Program Trainee, mentor, volunteer, and 2023 YWPLC Fellow. She believes WLEAD is a safe space where young girls are not only seen and heard but also equipped with leadership skills, confidence, and critical awareness, supporting them to step into their full potential.<\/span><\/p>\n Currently, she works as a Program Assistant at Citizenship Affected People\u2019s Network (CAPN), supporting program implementation and organizational compliance, advancing gender-equal citizenship in Nepal.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>×<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div> <\/div>\n\n \n Prerana Paswan (2020 LEADer)<\/b> is a student of social sciences and an aspiring diplomat committed to amplifying marginalized voices through policy and advocacy. She has served Women LEAD Nepal as a trainee and facilitator across various outreach programs, and is currently the Vice Secretary. In 2020, she was a Sujata Baskota Changemaker Awardee for her project “Dhiya,” which documented the untold stories of resilience and power from women of the Dom community in Madhesh. Women LEAD has been a transformative milestone in her journey, giving her voice, confidence, and a deep commitment to giving back by uplifting her community. She aspires to work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, contributing to policy-making that centers justice and equity. She envisions WLEAD as a catalyst for intersectional feminism, where young women from all walks of life unite, amplify each other’s voices, and create a more just and inclusive future.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>×<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div> <\/div>\n\n \n Aastha Satyal<\/strong> is a development practitioner and marketing professional working at the intersection of gender justice, ethical leadership, and systems change. With an academic background in Business Administration and a Master\u2019s degree in Development Studies, she bridges corporate strategy with social impact to advance inclusive and sustainable outcomes.<\/p>\n Her journey with Women LEAD Nepal<\/strong> began as a LEADer and has evolved into roles as a mentor, facilitator, and Board member. Through this platform, she has contributed to leadership development and feminist advocacy, with a focus on psychological safety, structural inequality, and women\u2019s empowerment. Shaped by on-ground learning across diverse contexts, Aastha is deeply curious about people, cultures, and power dynamics. She envisions Women LEAD Nepal as a catalyst for intersectional feminism and justice-driven change.<\/p>\n<\/div>×<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div> <\/div>\n\n \n Riddhi Gautam<\/strong>, the communications trainee at Women LEAD Nepal, is a student of Development Studies at KU. She is a recent YWPLC Fellow who is passionate about telling stories about female leadership and working toward creating a society that values women of all ages, their interests, and passions. She deeply appreciates and enjoys all forms of art. She enjoys reading, and writing is her primary creative outlet.<\/span><\/p>\n Through her love and passion toward storytelling, she aims to develop skills necessary to both inspire change and celebrate it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>×<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div> <\/div>\n\n \n Sinora Rai is a 2022 graduate of the LEAD Course from Women LEAD Nepal and currently serves as a LEAD Program Trainee, supporting young leaders in finding opportunities and building meaningful connections. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Community Development at Kathmandu University, driven by a passion for empowering youth and helping communities thrive. Outside of her work and studies, Sinora enjoys discovering new flavors and has a special love for momo. She feels happiest when connecting with people and being part of projects that bring positive change to society.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>×<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div> <\/div>\n\n \n Bhumi Jayaswal<\/strong> is a 2023 LEAD Course graduate and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) student at Model Institute of Technology. She currently serves as a Program Intern at Women LEAD Nepal<\/strong>, where she supports resource mobilization efforts and contributes to strengthening youth and women\u2019s leadership initiatives.<\/p>\n An enthusiastic and driven learner, Bhumi actively seeks opportunities for personal and professional growth. Guided by a strong commitment to social impact, she believes in the power of collective action and lives by the principle of paying it forward<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>×<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div> <\/div>\n\n \n Sonika Maharjan<\/strong> is a 2024 LEADer and currently serves as a LEAD Program Intern at Women LEAD Nepal. She is pursuing her studies in Travel and Tourism Management at NATHM and is passionate about feminism, social justice, and creating safer, more equitable spaces for all. In her free time, she enjoys visiting museums and watching films.<\/p>\n<\/div>×<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div> <\/div>\n\n \n Simrika Malla is the Admin Intern at Women LEAD Nepal. She began her journey here as a LEADer in 2024. Currently, she is pursuing a Bachelor\u2019s in Business Administration at Kantipur City College (KCC).<\/p>\n She enjoys travelling and exploring new cultures and perspectives. She enjoys dancing; it brings her joy and energy. She is a strong believer in the power of diversity, inclusion, and social justice. Through her passion for leadership, the skills she is gaining, and her enthusiasm to inspire, she aims to create positive change wherever she goes.<\/p>\n<\/div>×<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div> <\/div>\n\n \n Rumi Nepal<\/strong>, LEADer of 2022, a Community Development Student, is an explorative student, exploring social hierarchy and the psychology of community. She is a creative individual bridging the gap between the communication sector and development studies. She delves into poetry and travels to immerse herself in the theory of life. She loves writing and embracing the unpredictability of life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n She also enjoys going out in nature, keeping a journal, and observing the landscape around her. She is a big believer that positive thinking may be the way to solve any difficulties in life. Though uncertain about life, she embraces the changes and dynamic nature of <\/span>her <\/span>environment.
