We achieve this by involving fellow in political leadership trainings, workshops, and conversations surrounding democratic processes within Nepal and around the globe. Learning is aided not only by direct interaction with individuals they look up to but also through work opportunities with them. By program end, we help fellows transform advocacy ideas into actionable projects.

PROGRAM OUTLINE

YWPLI starts with two weeks of skill-building workshops, where participants gain foundational knowledge about Nepal’s federal democratic system and the political processes of the country. Fellows will also learn essential professional skills in political organization like delivering effective messages, networking skills, and developing effective campaign plans.

Fellows will volunteer approximately 25 hours with a female leader, where they will be exposed to field experience with local representatives or Mayors outside the valley.

A month long internship will ensure participants practice their political learning with women leaders like female parliament members, Singha Durbar, Deputy Mayor, and Ministers.

Fellows conceptualize and implement their own project around the theme of political activism and receive the guidance and skills to carry out their project.

The program concludes with a graduation ceremony.
